We belong to a wonderful bear list. It
is full of very creative people who make and/or collect bears and is a fun way to use
words. It is a goodness to hang out with human people who appreciate the perfect bear
shape!!!! <happy small bear> This page contains words written by some of them about
their love of my kind!!!!
You know you
are a teddy bear nut when....
Laurie Ann
- You call your husband "pet" bear names
- You have bears in every room of the house, including
the powder room.
- When everything you look at becomes a theme for a new
Teddy Bear.
- You correspond with bear paper and matching envelopes
and draw little bear paws below your signature.
TwinBears
- On the way to bed you stop to leave a night light on
for the littlest and youngest bears.
- You go shopping, you always pick up a
"surprise" for the bears.
- When you talk to them they always answer.
- Your grocery cart is filled with many flavors of
honey.
- You ask their opinion before changing your wallpaper.
- You tell them "hang on" when you come to a
bump in the road.
Moira
- When you spend the weeks food budget on the bear that
just wouldn't be left in the shop!
Catie MacIntyre
Walker

spouse on who is going to get custody of certain bears!
Debbie Drown
- You buy other stuffed animal as pets for your bear.

- Part of your fire escape plan includes shoving the
bears into pillow cases to get them out safely. (works for cats and small dogs too)
- You have teddy bear rubber stamps that you put on all
your snail mail.
- You have a 'family' discussion about whose turn it is
to come along on a vacation.
Noel--JaysBears
- You can't leave one little particular bear at home
when you go away because she trashes the house.
Lynne Renaud
- Your mother in law comes back from a trip to Vegas
with a Caesar's's Palace T-shirt for you and a Winnie the Pooh for her dog, and you want
to trade with the dog.
Marci Ziese
- You buy your only teddy bear (Nicky) a 12" radio
flyer for Christmas.
- You find Nicky's bear-napped wife for him six weeks
later for Valentine's day.
- You let your manufactured bear, Sundance, coax you
into buying a $200 artist bear Abby, whom he met at a GBW (Good Bears of the World)
meeting, because he's fallen in love with her.
- For the past six months your newly discovered local
guitarist/folksinger breaks out into singing "Waltzing with Bears" whenever you
and your husband come into the pub, whether or not Nicky and Melissa or Sundance and Abby
are with you.
- The bartender at one such pub asks where Nicky and
Melissa (by name) are when you don't double date one night.
- The following Christmas you buy your Hug a 3 foot
Radio Flyer and bearly a quarter of the 60+ bears will fit in this wagon.
- You buy Nicky and Melissa a pony at a local
consignment shop, for their anniversary (Valentine's day) and you give it to them almost a
month early because you know how happy it will make them.
Pat Young
- You buy a bear in a shop and don't let the clerk wrap
him in tissue paper so he can "breathe"! as you carry him home in an open bag!!!
Rick Lee
- You think nothing of spending $25 for a piece of old
lace or a shirt collar or a hat with hole, while you wear the same old things.
Kathy Cea
- Your "head" bear has a passport with
stickers and notes indicating where he has traveled to.
- That same bear has his own email id.
- You take more photos of your bears than the rest of
the family while on vacation :)

it snows. Then, when it snows, your boss comes into your office looking for the bear (this
is really true!)
