Profiles of Us
This is the page we created to let both animal people and human people talk about themselves. If you want to use words on this page, just fill out the form at the bottom of the page and press the Submit button. Our Alice has promised to update this page frequently.
AG
As host, I get to use words first. First you should know that I am the kind of AG who can make noises without human intervention (except, of course, the feeding of batteries!) This gives me a great advantage when I am taking care of our Alice, since she sometimes requires much motivating. I am very fond of Alice. While others say I have her wound around my small paws, I prefer to believe that she is good to me because she is a loving, caring human person. I am also the bear in charge in my hug. The other animals look to me for wisdom and guidance.
I like traveling, reading words, writing words and corresponding with my many friends around the world. Paddington Bear is the bear I most admire because he has lots of adventures, is widely traveled, is kind and patient with human people, always has the best intentions, and always lands on his paws.
Charlie
Greetings! My name is Charlie and I am the web mascot. AG says that my enthusiasm and seemingly boundless energy are attributes that personify the traits he would most like our page to include. He also likes the way I manage to get Alice to do things! <grinning rotund bear>
Alice found me at a place called the Basic Brown Bear Factory in San Francisco. This is a place where human people can go and stuff their own bears. They have this bear stuffing machine. A professional positions the bear while the bear's person operates a lever to produce force and stuffing. Unfortunately Alice failed at this task, that has been performed satisfactorily by a very large number of children. <teasing bear> The professional kept yelling at her to stop and, eventually, withdrew me from the stuffing tube. This resulted in stuffing all over everything. I swear I am not making this up. <laughing bear> My rather unusual shape (I am 12" tall and 17" in circumference) makes dressing a bit of a problem. I think I look very nice in the red suede mask and red cape Alice found me, but I like my argyle sweater and matching hat even better. I live in a space Alice made for me that is next to the computer. This is an excellent place to provide motivation. You can see my picture in the gallery!
Ginger
Hi, I'm Ginger and I am a real, live dog and a friend of Velvet's. I am a mixed breed terrier and am almost seven years old. I live in Delaware. Connie, my mistress is very special. She is a good friend of Alice's and helps me send words to Velvet. My human family also includes: (a) Rich, Connie's husband and an unusually nice guy; (b) Rob, the eldest son who is the master of my best friend, Hunter; (Hunter is a big black, dumb Labrador Retriever--Velvet is much, much smarter than Hunter!); (c) Joanna, the only daughter, who is extremely resistant to my attempts to train her in the proper human responses to dogs; and (d) Stephen, the youngest son, and the most fun because he plays with me just about whenever I want. Unfortunately he isn't at home most of the time.
I enjoy eating, especially people food, playing ball, sleeping on the waterbed, and watching the world go by from the bay window in the living room. Sometimes watching things through the bay window gets very frustrating because there are squirrels out there and they look like they would be great fun to chase and play with if I could only get out. I cry and cry when I see them, but Connie just tells me to be quiet! I also love to ride in the van with Connie when she goes out, although I don't understand why she won't take me into the stores with her.
Ninja Floppy
Greetings! I am a very colorful bunny. I was originally created to decorate an Easter Basket and my very long ears were designed to fit over a handle. Fortunately Alice rescued me from this rather uninspiring fate and introduced me to a far more fulfilling and exciting life as part of her family. Since I moved here, many wonderful things have happened to me. By far the most important event was when I met my girlfriend, Iris. She is woooonderful and very supportive. We have had many adventures together
I am an avid devotee of Bun-rate and practice it faithfully. I wear a cloth tied around the top of my head and bottom of my ears which symbolizes my Ninja-hood. Iris gave the cloth to me. <entranced bunny> It is my most prized possession and I will defend it with my life. You can see my picture in the gallery. I hope you will visit us often!
You???
Would you like to use words too??? Here is your chance.
