Thai futsal beats Kuwait 2-0, wins 2 matches in a row. The Thai national futsal team edged out Kuwait 2-0 in a thrilling match in the “Continental Futsal Championship Thailand 2024” on September 2 at Nonthaburi Provincial Stadium (Wat Bot Don Phrom).
The Thai national team, ranked 9th in the world, head coach Miguel Rodrigo sent the first 5 players, consisting of goalkeeper Arus Senbat, defender Jirawat Sonwichian (team captain), wingers Alongkorn Chanporn, Kritsada Wongkaew, striker Muhammad Usman Musa.
As for Kuwait, the 35th ranked team in the world, Spanish head coach Bruno Garcia sent the first 5 players, led by goalkeeper Fahad Kawari, Naser Al Alban, Abdul-El Alabasi, Hamad Al Awadi, Saleh Al Fadel.
In the first half, the Thai national team fought with Kuwait in an exciting and evenly matched match, but there was only one dangerous moment in the 13th minute when Alongkorn Chanporn broke through and took a powerful left-footed shot, but the ball went wide of the post.

In the other match, Afghanistan defeated Guatemala 5-4. Afghanistan scored from Fazad Mamoudi in the 8th minute, Hamit Osseini in the 25th and 32nd minutes, Hossein Poor in the 31st minute, and Akbar Kazemi in the 37th minute. Guatemala scored from Dias Anchup in the 9th minute, Sandoval Prado in the 22nd minute, Marin Mendes in the 30th minute, and Alvarado Gonzalez on a penalty kick in the 39th minute.
